More about Raya!

These are my two orchids that bloomed during this Raya..*proud*

Since the 1st Raya until today I spent most of the time on my feet attending to guests, my chores and sending hubby. I was VERY VERY tired. Either we received guest or we were out attending to medical appointments.. . almost every day and not to mention the distance I have been driving in a day.
I missed my friends open house this Raya, their food and most of all their company. But my darling Kak Non, eventhough I did not attend her open house, still sent food for me... God bless you my dear! And also to Aniza, thank you for bringging the food. Anyway, I went to three open houses the last weekend, at our neighbors. Two houses with hubby, only because they came to the house and insisted hubby to come.

Thank you relatives and friends for coming to the house and visiting hubby! Should have snapped more photos of guests but was so kelam kabut.
Having guest was not only tiring because you yak, yak, yak..so much so when there's topic related to your interest. We even received guest at 9 something at night. Some people says it's rezeki, dan setiap kali tetamu datang, mereka akan membawa keluar dosa-dosa kecil kita. Tapi jangan over bila menjamu, nanti merungut, dapat dosa pulak. I guessed now, I"ve been simple, I only served within my capability..*apa yang ada* itu yang sebaiknya!

Talking about *apa yang ada*, the photos below was what roughly I served the family..simple!

Chili and kidney bean soup with lamb. Everything in one bowl.

Eggs, chicken salami, avacado salad and fresh veges to go with toast bread. Yummy! But if the same menu for two days...*lebih baik puasa*

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.

The eve of Raya, my entire house has already smelled of Rendang and cake baking. Why not, I had started preparing the ingredients like sliced onions, ginger and what not, days ago. I cooked Chicken Rendang, Rendang Paru paru and kuah satay. Lontong, only in the very morning of Raya. Hmm, this is the smell of Raya! And my house was cleaned two days by four cleaners. Apa lagi? cookies done, cake baked. Syukur Alhamdullillah, masih bertenaga!

Pagi Raya di mulai dgn sarapan dgn keluarga but still in my caftan tidur *too lapar *,maybe dah biasa bangun sahur. Our first day guest, were Azizah and family, hubby"s cousin.

Menyahut Cabaran!

Suasana Aidil Fitri sudah terasa. Seronoknya nak menyambut Hari Raya, walaupun Hubby tak sepenuh sihat. We will be celebrating Raya in K.L. This is the first time Raya away from our parents and family.. *sob* sedihnya!

But we will take this oppurtunity to celebrate Raya in our house with just us and we will make the best of it, insyallah!

Yesterday I was surfing the net when I looked through my sister Teh's blog. In her blog she showed her Raya cookies and baju Raya. Amboi, sakan Raya tahun ni, sampai Add Image4 helai baju dengan beberapa cookies yang dibuat. Memang hebat! hebat! Lalu saya pun menyahut cabaran kakak. Hari ini Ahad, first thing after getting done my chores, I opened up my recipe books and started baking..with the helped of my Fifa.
Well, honestly speaking, I don't believe in buying babe! Home baked is the best.

So thank you my dearest sisters and sis in law for baking some cookies for me this year. Budi mu di kenang. But I just can't resist doing it myself.

Cornflakes Cookies

Coconut Currant Slice

Done! 2 cookies in one Day.

Saya mengambil kesempatan ini untuk mengucap 'Selamat Aidil Fitri' kepada seluruh umat Islam. 'Maaf Zahir dan Batin'! Semoga Puasa kita dapat diterima oleh Allah Taala. Amin!!

Still in the month of Ramadhan.

We are still in the month of Ramadhan, and I had tried hard to stay fit but no doubt at times I looked like a walking Zombiee.. *just kidding*
Everyday I and my girl send Hubby to Pantai Hospital for his hand therapy, and I would roamed around Bangsar for 2 hours or so. Thank God, at least I had a chance to go out and clear my mind looking at nice things at the Bazaar Ramadhan in the Shopping Centre..*tengok saja* By this week Wednesday, my girl Fifa will start her second semester, meaning...I will be on my own!

About Hubby, It's too early to tell. But his hands were not that stiffed like a few weeks ago. Maybe, the current put onto his hands, helped. He actually lost weight but somehow, according to some people he looks better now..alhamdullillah!

By the time we reached home, I was exhausted. Ya, I only cooked one main dish, and the rest I leaved it to my son Syazwan to buy.

Pasta with Roast Chicken

Pasembor, bought at Bazaar Ramadhan

Last weekend, Fifa made chocolate chips, which I prepared earlier and leaved for her to bake.
